Poem 3/30 - A Charm for Bumming a Ride

A ringtone always answered with detest
Tongue full of excessive requests
An always empty tank of gas
Awkward silence after what’s asked
A ride given, reluctantly
Seated where the passenger must be
Departing as the driver’s hand extends
Oh no, a forgotten wallet again
And now free am I to go to and fro
With never my car needing to leave home
